Baarat
Baaraat is a wedding procession in Indian culture, in which the groom and his family and friends travel to the wedding venue on horseback, on a car, or on foot. The groom is typically the center of attention during the baaraat, and is accompanied by his family, friends, and members of the community. The baaraat is a festive and colorful event, with music, dancing, and the exchange of sweets and flowers. The groom’s family and friends may also carry traditional Indian instruments such as dhols, shehnais and sarangs and sing and dance during the baaraat. The baaraat’s ultimate destination is the venue of the wedding ceremony, where the groom will meet the bride’s family.
A pre-wedding celebration is an event or series of events held in the days or weeks leading up to a wedding ceremony. These celebrations can vary depending on the culture and traditions of the couple getting married, but may include events such as engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and sangeet. These events are typically hosted by the couple’s families and are a way for friends and loved ones to come together and celebrate the upcoming nuptials.
